10 Years ago, our dear friend Barry Connell passed away due to an acute form of Meningitis, Just days before, Barry achieved one of his lifelong dreams in music, completing his first BBC Radio 1 Essential mix from Inside Out at the Arches. Regarded by many as one of the most talented DJ’s that Scotland has ever produced holding long term residencies for Goodgreef and Inside Out. Barry Connell will always be held in the highest of regards, and his legacy continues to remain an inspiration for many DJ’s across the world. Barry was one of those rare individuals whose love for his family, friends, music and life was infectious and he never failed to bring joy to anyone who knew him.
To mark this occasion, we have managed to secure some of Barry’s closest friends and colleagues for a very special event at SWG3 Warehouse in Glasgow. Join us to pay tribute to a legend who was taken way before his time and forever they will chant – Barry, Barry, Barry F***ing Connell.
